The Lord Pondereth Our Goings
Proverbs 5:21 – For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
Proverbs 15:3 states, The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
In the context before us, God sees the man who is falling for the strange woman, doing irreparable damage to himself.
The word “pondereth” does not mean God is trying to figure out what we are doing.
The word means to weigh, make level, balance, to make level or smooth.
God is judging righteous judgment in determining exactly what judgment fits each person according to their own knowledge, purpose and all.
Luke 12:48 – But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Psalms 139:1-12 – God knows all about us. We can hide nothing.
Scriptures declaring that God sees all and judges righteous judgment to every person.
Jremiah 16:17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.
Jeremiah 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 32:19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
Compare to Proverbs 5:22osea 7:2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
2 Chronicles 16:9 declares, For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
Asa forgot the victory God gave him with the Ethiopians and the Lubims some 30 years previously.
Asa trusted in Syria, therefore could not conquer them as God desired.
Asa got made at the messenger and put him in jail, than oppressed some of the people at the same time.
Asa suffered greatly before he died, but he never turned to the Lord.
He prepared for his burial, but really did not prepare for his death, nor for meeting God.
Job said, Job 31:4, Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
Elihu stated, Job 34:21, For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
Psalms 11:4 - declares, The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Psalms 17:3 - Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Revelation 2:18 - And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Revelation 2:23 - And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
