The sovereignty of God is simple. If it were not for hyper-Calvinists,
and free-will Baptists, what would we believe about God?
The Inspiration and preservation of the Bible is simple. If
"scholars" did not confuse this issue, what would we believe about
the inspiration and preservation of the Bible? Dead Sea Scrolls. Sinaiticus.
Vactinus, Septuagint, Contradictions in the Bible, Which Bible do we use?
Psalms 119:89 declares, "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in
heaven." II Peter 1:20-21 – No person has the right to say what
God said. All interpretations must be "thus saith the Lord". We
interpret scripture by scripture, not by what we think.
Creation is simple. If evolution had never been introduced, what would we
believe about creation? See Genesis 1 and 2. II Peter 3:3-8 – Just as
there was a worldwide flood in Noah’s day, so there is coming a worldwide
destruction by fire (in our day, or shortly thereafter).
Salvation is simple. If it were not for us confusing works with
salvation, what would we believe? All are lost, only Christ can save. Acts
16 – the Philippian Jailer. 2 Corinthians 4:3 "But if our gospel
be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:"
Scriptural baptism is simple. Authority in baptism is apparent. Only God
can properly authorize baptism? Only you can authorize a person to write a
check on your account. Why did Christ walk 60 miles to be baptized? Does
just any church have the authority to baptize? Does just any preacher have
the authority to baptize? (No preacher has the authority to baptize.) The
method of baptism is always immersion.
Scriptural service is simple. Romans 12:1-2. Ephesians 3:21 – "Unto
him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world
without end. Amen." We must serve God his way, not our way. We
serve God in his kind of church, not some kind of church we establish. It is
not results that count – it is our heart before our Lord and Saviour. We
must be honest with God in our hearts, because he sees and knows everything
we do. It makes absolutely no difference what others do – we must serve
the Lord. Joshua 24:15.
