Proverbs 12:21
“There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.”
Evil does happen to the just, as recorded in Psalms 73, and Ecclesiastes 8:14, “There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 8:17 also states, “Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.”
But the actions of the just do not bring about evil.
Refer back to Proverbs 12:21 – Good things happen to the wicked, as recorded in Psalms 73, and Job 21:7-16, but the good things are not the results of their actions. Good happens to the wicked because of the grace and mercy of God toward them. This life is the best life the wicked will ever know. They are soon going to be cast into hell fire, then brought out of hell fire to stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgment, then will be cast into the Lake of Fire forever and forever.
