The Ruling Anti-Christ
Eccl. 4:9-12 - Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
The text is good when it speaks about people helping one another. This passage can speak of the advantages of marriage, or the advantage of having a work partner. This passage was applied to King David when he was old because his counselors chose a young virgin to lay with him so he could have heat. My dad often said when we were working together, “One man can do the work of one, but two men working together can do the work of three men working separately. Three men working well together can do the work of five men working separately.” The part we want to notice is that a threefold cord is not quickly broken. This is true for the good and it is also true for the bad.
I believe Satan will establish his kingdom upon this world by three means:
politically, This can easily be seen for what our governor did when the Pope recently asked him to be lenient to the man on death row. The governor was so weak in principles that he did what the pope asked. Every law of our state was overturned. There is talk of prosecuting the man under some other crimes he has committed, but the state will have to pay all over again because the pope has this kind of power. The pope is a law unto himself. Why didn’t the governor turn every criminal on death row loose? Why didn’t the governor stop a particular abortion?
economically, The pope is more of a Marx than anything. He isn’t accepted by the Democrats because he doesn’t believe in abortion, and he won’t be accepted by the Republicans because of he isn’t for free enterprise. Of course, our country is more and more dedicated to socialism. I have a big thick book at home containing nothing but how seniors can get free stuff from the government. It doesn’t make any difference what a leader’s morals are - if the economy is good - people will follow him and love him. Many “religious” people today will work on Sunday - they say it is necessary. Many people will leave church services on Sunday and go somewhere to buy something. They get mad at you if you say something, but it is the truth. Just because the store is open, doesn’t mean I need to go into it. Just because somebody jumps off the Missouri River bridge, doesn’t mean I need to jump off it. Our great country was founded by people not working on Sunday unless it was a real emergency. Now almost every store is open because the owners don’t want to miss a dollar in sales.
and religiously. Many people don’t believe what the pope stands for, but they will submit to him because of who he is and the religion he represents. The Catholics have by and large caused many pagan holidays to be celebrated all over the world. People know they are pagan holidays, but celebrate them anyway because they are fun, and if they don’t celebrate them, they must stand against harsh foes. The majority of Catholics in the U. S. don’t believe what the Catholic church says about birth control, or capitol punishment. People will follow that which they don’t believe because it is popular or good for them economically.
It is a world wide movement that will fill the entire world.
I John 2:18 - During the days of John, there were already many Anti-Christs. They will all combine themselves into one great power. An example of this is given in Rev. 17:12,13 - The ten kingdoms shall be of one mind and shall give their power and authority to Satan.
Satan’s great miracle working power to convince many people that God is defeated.
Rev. 13:11-15 - The great miracle of fire coming down from heaven will convince many people that God is dead or at the very least defeated.
Matthew 24:24 - The false Christ and the false prophets of the last days will show such great signs and wonders that if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived.
II Thess 2:4 - Satan will sit in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.
Daniel 7:25 - Satan will think to change times and laws. This is happening today. Satan will have to change the way people think. There is no law against putting a video camera in someone’s bathroom (without their consent) and putting the film over the Internet. I saw this on one of those T. V. magazines the other day. The contractor who installed the camera and put all this on the Internet put his own face on the screen and wasn’t ashamed. The principle of “peeping Tom” doesn’t apply somehow.
Rom. 12:2 - our minds need to be transformed. That is it needs to be changed from fleshly thinking to spiritual thinking.
Isaiah 5:20 - Woe to them that call evil good and good evil.
Isaiah 32:5 - The vile person shall no more be called liberal.
