Wickedness in the last days
Gen. 6:5 - And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
It is the mix of serving God and serving Satan that God hates. When this happens in this world, God hates it as much as He hated it in the days of Israel, or in the days of Noah.
Amos 5:21 - I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
S. News and World Report. Gambling on the Internet. This is the second year one company has been in business. Their income was reported at $700 million. I don’t know if this was gross or net. The question is: Is it illegal for a person to visit the web site where it is legal to gamble when it isn’t legal where they live? Is it illegal for a person to visit another country or area where it is legal to gamble when it isn’t legal to gamble where they live?
CNN. Personal cameras for computers sell for as little $100.00. Many people are using these cameras to take lewd pictures of themselves and put those pictures on the Internet. There are many personal web pages with nude pictures of the owners of those web sites.
A Television News Magazine of some sort. Thieves are stealing the personal identities of many people. All they need is a persons social security number, their name, and any address they chose. They go to a Drivers License Bureau and get an official drivers license, which they use to get credit cards and other credit.
The police departments across this land won’t take a police report on stolen identities because they say the credit card companies are the victims, and the credit card companies aren’t asking for a police report or a police investigation. The DMV won’t take action to get rid of the invalid drivers license without a police report.
This isn’t listed as a crime in any state except Arizona. Criminals may get parole, nothing else.
There is nothing a person can do to stop someone from stealing your identity, and it will cost between $10,000.00 and $15,000.00 to fix. Some of the bad credit reports will never be fixed, even after a person dies. Reminds me of Matt. 6:19, Law not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
There is so much of this type of crime that to investigate all of the cases, there wouldn’t be anybody left to investigate robberies, armed actions, murders, rapes, or anything else. There is only a 10% - 20% chance of being caught, then probably only parole to pay.
The police say the U. S. system of Identification is too old. Signatures and numbers won’t work anymore. They suggest using fingerprints or eye prints instead of signatures and S. S. numbers.
This summer, an Arizona senator will introduce legislation to the federal government to make stealing identities a crime, punishable with jail time. He believes his legislation will pass very easily. This shows us how easily people will accept the mark of the Antichrist.
People will worship the devil if the economy is good.
A CNN poll shows that 3% of the American people believe their morals are lower than President Clinton’s. 36% say their morals are equal to the president, and 61% have morals higher than the presidents. Yet 71% believe the president represents our country well to foreign nations! CNN actually stated in their report that as long as the economy was good, the American people would accept immorality in the office of president.
A. I Thess. 1:8 - In flaming fire, God will take vengeance.
B. Man will be destroyed because of their wickedness, not the wickedness of angels and women.
C. The hero's are wicked men, men of renown (v. 4).
1. Today's hero's are rock stars and movie stars and old time gangsters.
a. Jesse James, Bonnie and Clyde.
b. movie - the Godfather. The hero makes the person in authority look like an idoit.
c. Burt Reynolds playing the "Bandit".
d. Fonzee making fun of Sheriff.
e. Duke boys in Hazard County are good guys and sheriff is evil.
f. "Gunsmoke" - "Kitty" - a whore - is portrayed as a heroine.
2. Our hero's were Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Whip Wilson, The Lone Ranger -- All were out to destroy evil and put criminals in jail.
II. The thought of his heart.
A. Mark 7:15 - the thing that comes out of a man defile him.
1. Luke 11:39 - Make sure the inside is right.
2. Matt. 15:18, 19 - Those things that come out of the heart defile a man.
