Will All Nations Turn Against Israel In The End Days?
I produced this outline on June
6, 2001, preaching it on the radio at that time. Many changes have been
made in our nation and in the nation of Israel since then. I continue to
pray for the nation of Israel, and our own nation. I don't know if our
nation will defend Israel, but I continue to pray and trust she will. I
know what the Bible declares concerning the nation of Israel, and I know this
tiny nation must go through much trouble before she will turn again to the Lord.
But turn to the Lord she will. It is to this day all believers anticipate.
We pray God will keep on blessing the nation of Israel, and that he will bring
her to himself. Brother Wayne - 12/6/2012
This question was asked me. The Bible says in the last days all the nations on earth will turn against Israel. Where will the United States stand at this time? P. S. The United States has promised to always protect and stand up for Israel. Surely we wouldn’t go back on such a promise.
Normally I answer questions directly and don’t make a radio broadcast out of the answer, but I am asked this question fairly frequently, so I thought others would also be interested in the answer. The question is really about the following verses:
All nations go against Israel at the Battle of Armageddon.
God will judge all nations because all nations have gone against Israel.
Joel 3:2 – “I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.”
Amos 9:9 – “For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.”
Zechariah 14:2 – “For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.”
Matthew 24:9 – “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.”
All nations will go against Israel at the Battle of Gog and Magog.
Rev. 20:8 – “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”
Ezekiel 38 and 39 speaks of God drawing God and Magog to battle against Israel.
There are really only three options here.
First - Every nation on the earth means just that – every nation. The scripture says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Does that passage mean that each and every person is born a sinner and needs Jesus Christ to redeem them from sinfulness. Is there any person that is born not a sinner? We know the only person born not a sinner was Jesus Christ, who died that all could have eternal life. So when the Bible states “all nations,” that is exactly what it means – all nations.
The second option is that the phrase “all nations” is speaking about the United Nations, or some other world organizations of nations. It is true that the United States has been removed from the human rights section of the United Nations, but it is also true that the United Nations has been primarily financed by the United States. It is also true that all our politicians seem to believe that the United Nations is the only hope for peace, economic stability, and religious unity in this world. If “all nations” is speaking about the United Nations, then the United states will not be a world power when this prophecy is fulfilled.
Third - The only other option available is that the United States is not a nation at the end time. We certainly hate to think of this option, but this is the only other available option. Think of all the things the United States has done to kick God out of our society. Is it any wonder that God will destroy the United States as a nation?
The United States was established on Christian principles, most of our early laws being written based on what the Bible said. Most of our founding fathers were God fearing people, who earnestly desired a place to worship and serve God Almighty. Therefore they rebelled against England and formed the United States of America.
But now: Bible reading in many public places is against the law. The Bible (God’s holy Word) has been removed from schools, and the schools are facing the consequence of that removal.
There is a judge that is being sued because he placed a copy of the ten commandments on a wall of his courtroom. The ten commandments have been removed from many public places, because (and this is my opinion) some people don’t want anybody to think God demands anything.
Abortion is the law of the land, and many millions of innocent babies have been killed while still in their mothers womb.
Homosexuality is also the law of the land, their wickedness protected by the twisting of laws.
These are just a few of the wicked immoral things that have happened in this great U. S. of A. I could name many other open sins that will bring the judgment of God upon us.
Now – should God judge the United States, and remove His hand of blessing from us? He removed His blessings from Israel, and He will just as surely remove His hand of blessing from us.
1. Promises God has given to Israel concerning all nations.
I read this promises of God to Israel, knowing that God is very able to bless any nations that obeys His Word.
Israel is supposed to be above every nation. Every nation is supposed to honor and praise Israel. The only thing required of Israel is that they obey the commandments of God.
Deut 26:19 – “And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.”
Deut 28:1 – “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:” Read all the way down through verse 14.
Warnings God has given to Israel concerning all nations.
I read these warnings God gives to Israel, knowing that God is very able to curse any nation that disobeys His Word.
God gave Israel a warning that if she turns against God’s commandments, and starts to sin, God will cause all nations to turn against her.
God will bring Israel into Babylonia Captivity. Deut. 28:36,37 – “The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. 37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.”
II Chronicles 7:19, 20 – “But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; 20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.”
Luke 21:24 – “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”
God will so severely judge Israel for their rebelling against Him that - Deut 29:24 – “Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?”
Israel went against the commandments of God – thus will and is suffering the judgment of God. This is why Hitler was so against the Jews and caused the Holocaust.
Israel is scattered to all nations – becomes a byword. You all know what it means “to Jew somebody.” It means to try to get a cheaper price. Israel has become a byword.
The nations of this world have been blinded and given into the hand of Satan.
Luke 4:5-8 – Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, saying to him that all these kingdoms had been given to him, and he could give them to whosoever he desired. The point of this passage is that even though all nations have been given to Satan to use as he sees fit, all nations will finally turn back to God and give glory and honor to Him. “And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
Isaiah 25:7,8 records that there has been a vail (a covering) cast over all the people, over all nations. Satan uses this covering (lack of understanding about Israel and God) as a means to coax all the nations of the world to go against Israel.
All nations will be deceived by Satan. Revelation 18:23 – “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”
When all nations come against Israel, they will have no trouble, because God will cause them to not break as small a thing as a shoe latchet. Isaiah 5:27 – “None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:”
Israel is victorious.
Israel will win the final battle because God is with her, and Satan is leading all the nations of the world. Psalms 118:10 – “All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.”
Isaiah 25:7,8 – “And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.”
